This study addresses the urgent need for innovative teaching methods to enhance learner autonomy in the post-COVID-19 endemic era. Consequently, a converged T2 (Team-Together) teaching model based on collaborative learning was developed. This research investigates how the model positively transformed classroom dynamics and provides foundational data for the development and direction of new learning models. The educational methods and effects of the T2 teaching model are summarized as follows: Firstly, despite the transition from remote to in-person learning following the end of COVID-19, there remains a significant need for methods that enhance learner autonomy, which was impacted by prolonged periods of remote education. The T2 (Team-Together) teaching model, a convergent teaching approach based on cooperative learning, is proposed as a solution. Secondly, the T2 (Team-Together) teaching model integrates five pedagogical approaches: peer tutoring, blended learning, gamification, problem-based learning, and case-based teaching. These methods are applied variably according to the learning content of each class to maximize educational effectiveness. Thirdly, the implementation and application of the T2 teaching model yielded positive student reactions and feedback. Overall, students reported enhanced learning autonomy and high expectations for classroom outcomes. Reflective journals particularly highlighted significant expectations and perceived learning effectiveness.
In conclusion, the findings of this study underscore the evolving nature of teaching methods in response to COVID-19 and the critical importance of such developments. A converged teaching model that leverages the strengths of various pedagogical approaches has demonstrated positive outcomes for learners.
