‘Ecosystem and environment’ unit of 6th grade in the elementary science consists of a small number of inquiry activities and a number of theoretical contents. So, there are many difficulties in the teachings of teachers and student’s learning. In this study, STEAM program using a natural game was developed and applied to study effectively about an ecosystem. An object of study is in 6th grade student of N elementary school in J province, the traditional theory class was applied to the control group and STEAM program was applied to the experimental group. As application results to two groups to find out about change of academic achievement, creative problem solving abilities, scientific inquiry activity and scientific attitude, the experimental group increased significantly in the scientific inquiry ability compared to the control group. In subdivision, observation, classification, measurement, and inference are increased except the expectation. Also, the experimental group increased significantly in the scientific attitude compared to the control group. Through STEAM program was developed mainly to an student’s preferred play and inquiry activity, this is a positive influence to improvement of scientific inquiry ability and scientific attitude than academic achievement to the ecosystem.
