Great-Soongbok-Temple Inscription(大崇福寺碑銘) is a record of deeds in Buddhist merit of the royal families who built Great-Soongbok-temple(大崇福寺) in Silla. It was composed by Choe, Chi-won(崔致遠) in obedience of royal command. As he was composing the inscription he has cited words and phrases from other literatures according to the gist of the Inscription. It stands out since there are many cases of Chinese history among the citations and this makes available that Choe, Chi-won tried to think the model of Silla's improvement and development through history. It was possible to get an outcome as the result of careful consideration of some case studied.
Emperors should avoid lavishness and personal greed and be able to control oneself and listen and accept the sincere advices from faithful retainers. Also it agrees that the deed of faithful retainers who can assist and serve emperors are very important.
In such cases of considering some activities of emperors and retainers, Choe, Chi-won was very interested in people who established and developed Han(漢) Dynasty. For example, Zhang liag(張良.) and Han xin(韓信) of the foundation period, Xiao Wen Di(孝文帝) and Xiao Jing Di(孝景帝) of the beginning Dong zhong-shu(董仲舒) in Xiao Wu Di(孝武帝) and Bing ji(丙吉) in Xuan Di(宣帝) of advancing period. In his eye this period was the best example.
All things considered Choe, Chi-won modeled after Han Dynasty for an improvement Silla.
