This study was conducted to investigate the effect of culinary major selection attributes on major satisfaction and to prove the relationship between study continuation intention and job preparation behavior. A survey was conducted on college students who are currently majoring in culinary arts. The survey was conducted for about 4 weeks from June 22 to July 19, 2020 and a total of 240 questionnaires were distributed and 213 copies were used for the study, excluding 27 insincere questionnaires. The analysis results of the hypotheses established in this study are presented below. First, the culinary major selection attributes(employment- related factors, education-related factors, and individual-related factors) were found to have a significant effect on major satisfaction. Second, major satisfaction was found to have a significant effect on academic continuity intention. Third, major satisfaction was found to have a significant effect on job preparation behavior. The results of this study prove that culinary majors select their majors in consideration of employment factors, educational factors, and personal factors, and that they have an effect on major satisfaction and academic and employment outcomes. Therefore, in order to improve major satisfaction, it is necessary to apply various teaching methods that can arouse students' interest, the instructor's sincere attitude to class, conduct a sympathetic class with students, and the university's active support efforts for class.
