The rise of followership, as an important research field in organizational behavior, cannot be ignored. This study aimed to examine followership type and its relationship with self-efficacy and job performance. This study adopts a quantitative survey design, and a third-party data survey platform is used to launch a questionnaire survey on a sample population in mainland China, and the sample population covers 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. The three standardized scale tools used in this study included the Follower Questionnaire, General Self-Efficacy Scale Schwarzer, GSES and job performance scale. The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between followership type and two organizational variables,self-efficacyandjobperformance. These findings strengthen theoretical studiesoffollowershipbyprovidingtheempiricalevidenceneededtovalidatefurtherresearch.
