Records on Musin revolt in Yeongjosillok(The Annals of King Yeongjo) was based on Gamnannok that had been compiled by Soron right after subjugation of Musin revolt, but it was revised by Noron faction in the reign of King Jeongjo. In fact, political justification of Soron was already completely invalidated right after suppression of Eulhaeoksa, and political justification of Noron was proved officially in a dimension of state. Cheonuisogam, which compiled by hand of Noron right after suppression of Eulhaeoksa, imputed the whole responsibility of the Musin revolt to Soron, and became the symbol of political victory of Noron. In this context, the compilation of Yeongjosillok by revising Gamnannok was the final step in confirming that political justification of Noron became the political justification of state. Revising process could be divided by five categories, that was addition, elimination, rearrange, correction, repositioning. Through this process, Noron’s political justification which was distinguished from Soron’s political justification could be completely confirmed. Therefore, Yeongjosillok has not only character as a chronicle which tell history of reign of King Yeongjo, but character as a political written agreement between Noron and King Jeongjo.
