The purpose of this study is to analyze the BiologyⅡ textbooks developed under the 7th National Curriculum. We compared the College Scholastics Ability Test and the Biology Teachers' Appointment Test with the volume of each chapter in the BiologyⅡ textbooks to see which chapters are important in teaching biology Ⅱ course and interview biology teachers to know what their standpoints are for the Biology Ⅱ textbooks. According to our study, the number and the credit proportions of the problems in the College Scholastics Ability Test and the Biology Teachers' Appointment Test did not match the volume of each chapter in the BiologyⅡ textbooks. Especially, the chapters about Taxonomy, Ecology and Environment were lowly evaluated in the College Scholastics Ability Test and the Biology Teachers' Appointment Test. This might come from the arrangement of the text, where these chapters are in the latter half of textbooks. We suggest the volume of each chapter in the textbooks be reassessed and arranged appropriately according to the importance of the subjects in the following reform of the Biology National Curriculum and the College Scholastics Ability Test and the Biology Teachers' Appointment Test should consider the content of BiologyⅡ textbooks.
