This research is an analysis on how difference there are in the contents of biology between those of other subject matters in the 7th national primary and secondary school curriculum. The purpose of this study was to acquire essential data for developing the new curriculum and establishing the identity of biology class. In results, biology-related contents that were dealt in the other subject matters were very different from those of the biology, and the analysis showed that they failed to correspond across grades. The lack of content relationships between biology and other subject matters could induce decrease in curiosity, and confusion in identify for biology class. In conclusion, when it comes composing the contents of each subject matter, the relevant experts in related subject matters areas should be mobilized to conduct in-depth analysis of the following areas: viability, appropriate level of difficulty, and hierarchy of relative importance between subjects.
