The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of social support on school adjustment and well - being in elementary school students participating in sports activities. For this purpose, 282 elementary school students were subjected to exploratory factor analysis and correlation analysis using SPSS 20.0, and the causal relationship was analyzed through multiple regression analysis. The results of the analysis after excluding the data that the answer to the question contents were judged to be poor or unreliable were excluded from the analysis.
First, social support had a positive effect on school adjustment, and the order of influence on peer relationships was material, emotion, and information. The order that influenced teacher relations was information and material order, and emotion had negative influence. The order in the school class was information, emotion, and material order. Second, the social support had a positive effect on the well - being and the effect on the efficacy was in the order of information, substance, emotion. The effects on emotional well - being were in the order of information, emotion, and material. Third, school life adaptation had a positive effect on well - being, and effects on efficacy well - being were in the order of peer relationship, teacher relationship, and school class relationship. The emotional well - being influenced teachers" relationships, peer relations, and school classes.
