The purpose of this thesis is designed to enlarge trade between Korea-China. To maximize trade with China, this study analyzes foreign economic environment of China and trade relation of both countries.
China continually revolutes and opens its foreign trade system, incorporates the world economic system by joining GATT/WTO. If '9.5 schedule' strategy successfully propel, it entersdeveloping countries' group by 2000. rises to the surface as the third economic big power in the world by 2010.
Since Korea-China amnity, both countries trade, investment, and industry corporations are increasing rapidly. The reason is that trade impediments are being removed by Korea-china amnity and suppementary of both trade system soaringly operates and China has put its heart and soul into the entry of WTO since 1986.
It contributes economic growth and enlargement of domestic demand market also removes and relieves both countries' tariff and non-tariff barriers.
But, China' s becoming a member of WTO will affect on Korea not only positive effect but also protection of domestic market and change of industrial structure, for example ① Domestic market of Korea has potential to be disturbed by low-priced goods, replica, imitations. ② There is a possibility that the effect of mutual market approaching will be asymmetries. ③ China's becoming a member of WTO will affect with pressure on high growth of Korean industry structure.
Accordingly, the trade relationship of Korea-China of 21th century will be on a rock, if Korean government set up mid-long term plan with China on the basis of above-mentioned fundamental courses.
