Since China government has taken open policy in 1979, Amounts of trade dramatically increased between South Korea and China.
Especially. as they had the diplomatic relation in August of 1992, China became the 3rd position as of trade partner to South Korea, and South Korea did the 6th one to China. It resulted from mutual co-operations of production costs between two nations. In contrast with South Korea having abundant capital and know-how, China has lots of labor. low wages and price of land.
Last year Korean enterprises mostly invested in China about 0.21 billion(52.5%) of total amounts in foreign direct investments and 269 cases (30.3%) in the number of investment cases. so that China government favorably brought about foreign investments having environmental improvements. interdependent pacts, geographical nearness. and preferable competitive factors.
In order to enlarge the trade continuously between two nations. China firstly might have macro-economic policy to adjust recent economical overheat In the socialism structure and free market operations. Secondly. more efficient alternative to solve social problems owing to rapid economic developments.
Fourth. conceptual alteration from socialistic equality to competitive ability is needed. lastly. she might adopt freely competitive market system and high-tech information industry to the agreement of GATT.
In the viewpoint of South Korea, first, insufficient open market system, complicated channel distribution, and geographical unbalance should by removed. Second. to get more accurate and speedy information of the economic trend in China. Third. to educate specialized personnel to the frontier spirit. Fourth. to make an effort to the aggressive investment of hopeful industries.
