This study investigated the effects of college students’ ego-resilience and career stress on career decision-making self-efficacy, and the results of verifying the hypothesis are as follows: First, Hypothesis 1 reviewed how ego-resilience influences career stress, and it was found that while positive future orientation has significant negative (-) effects on career ambiguity and employment pressure, it did not have a significant effect on external conflicts. The diversity of interest and concern had no statistically significant effects on career ambiguity, employment pressure, and external conflicts, and thus they were all dismissed. Although emotional regulation did not have significant effects on career ambiguity and employment pressure, it did have a significant positive (+) effect on external conflicts. Second, Hypothesis 2 examined how ego-resilience impacts career decision-making self-efficacy. Positive future orientation had significant positive (+) effects on future planning, goal setting, and job information, and while the diversity of interest and concern had no significant effects on future planning and goal setting, it did have a significant positive (+) effect on job information. Emotional regulation did not indicate significant effects on all of the future planning, goal setting, and job information. Third, even though career ambiguity did show significant negative (-) effects on future planning and goal setting, it did not show significance on job information. Employment pressure was found to be insignificant on future planning, goal setting, and job information, and while external conflicts were not statistically significant on future planning and job information, they did exhibit a significant negative (-) influence on goal setting. As per this study, students’ ego-resilience should be improved to reduce career stress, and since students with high career stress lead to having low career decision-making self-efficacy, their career stress must be decreased. Moreover, because the influential relations were researched through the various variables of ego-resilience, career stress, and career decision-making self-efficacy, factors displaying negative influential relations should be reduced to elevate college students’ ego-resilience. It is hoped that this will decrease career stress and raise career decision-making self-efficacy, alleviating troubling thoughts about career during college life to enable a more joyful time in college.
