In this paper, I studied the juxtaposition and fusion of the paratexts in The Knights of the Burning Pestle, known as a play written by Francis Beaumont in 1607. Accepting the common research trends and criticisms of it, I explored its importance and meaning by focusing on the paratexts of this work. In literary interpretation, paratext is material that surrounds a published main text supplied by the authors, editors, printers, and publishers. These added elements form a frame for the main text and can change the reception of a text or its interpretation by the public. Paratext is most often associated with books, as they typically include a cover, title, dedication, opening information, foreword, footnotes, and many other materials not crafted by the author. In this context, I would like to explore its importance and meaning by focusing on the paratext of Beaumont"s The Knights of the Burning Pestle through this paper. By confirming various information related to the structure and story formation through the framework of text analysis, it is believed that this paper will improve the correct analysis and understanding of the work from a different angle from most research trends centered on plot and character analysis, so far.
