Purpose: This study sought to determine the reliability and validity of Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale(PACES) in elementary school children Korea. Methods: The sample consisted of 427(boys:225, girls:202) 4th∽6th grade students who lived in G city. This study was used through pilot study after revising the physical activity enjoyment scale for elementary school students developed by Moore et al. (2009). and used to descriptive analysis, correlation, and confirmed factor analysis. Results: First, as a result of confirmatory factor analysis on the physical activity enjoyment scale for elementary school children, the overall index (CMIN/DF=1.93, RMR=.05, GFI=.90, TLI=.95, FI=.96, RMSEA=.05) It was found to be good, and the detailed index, SRW (.56~.88), was found to be good, confirming that it was a single factor of 16 questions. Second, the values of AVE (.82) and CR (.99), which represent convergence validity, showed high levels of convergence validity, and compared physical activity enjoyment between gender and exercise participation groups to analyze recruitment validity, and showed significant correlation with the frequency, time, and duration of exercise participation. Third, there was no difference in factors between genders. Conclusion: The physical activity enjoyment scale for elementary school students in Korea is a single factor scale consisting of 16 questions, suggesting that convergent validity and recruitment validity can be commonly applied to both male and female elementary school students.
목적: 이 연구는 한국 초등학교 아동을 대상으로 신체활동즐거움척도(PACES)를 타당화 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 방법: 연구자는 연구문제 해결을 위해 G광역시에 소재한 3개 초등학교 4∼6학년 학생 427명(남:225, 여: 202)을 의도적 표집법으로 선정하여 Moore 등(2009)이 개발한 초등학생용 신체활동즐거움척도를 번안 수정한 후 예비연구를 거쳐 문항에 대한 기술분석, 상관분석 및 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 결과: 첫째, 초등학교 아동을 위한 신체활동즐거움척도에 대한 확인적 요인분석 결과 전반적 지수가(CMIN/DF=1.93, RMR=.05, GFI=.90, TLI=.95, CFI=.96, RMSEA=.05) 양호한 것으로, 세부적 지수인 SRW(.56∼.88)값이 양호한 것으로 나타나 16문항 단일요인으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 수렴타당도를 나타내는 AVE(.82), CR(.99) 값이 모두 높은 수준을 보여 수렴타당도를 입증하였으며 구인타당도 분석을 위해 성별 간, 운동참여유무집단 간 신체활동즐거움을 비교한 결과 남학생과 운동참여집단의 신체활동 즐거움이 높은 것으로 나타났으며 운동참여 빈도, 시간, 기간과 유의한 상관을 보였다. 셋째, 성별 간의 요인에 대한 차이는 존재하지 않았다. 결론: 이상을 종합해 보면 한국의 초등학생을 위한 신체활동즐거움척도는 16문항으로 구성된 단일요인의 척도로 수렴타당도와 구인타당도가 확인되었으며, 이 척도는 남녀초등학생 모두에 공통적으로 적용될 수 있음을 제시해 주고 있다.
