This study was to investigate some biology laboratory activities which secondary biology teachers deemed to improve students' creativity and scientific thinking. The 35 activities of major biology laboratory were first chosen from the secondary science textbooks. The questionnaire was designed on the basis of Likert scale to identify whether each of those activities had been helpful for improving students' creativity and scientific thinking in their science classes. The 78 biology teachers in the secondary schools responded to the questionnaires. They thought that some biology laboratory topics such as light intensity and photosynthesis rate, plasmolysis and protoplasmic streaming of plant cells, osmosis in the red blood cell, characteristics of enzymes, oxygen dissociation curve for hemoglobin, effect of temperature and light on plant flowering, data interpretation for the DNA semiconservative replication and Chargaff's rules, data interpretation for the Mendelian monohybrid and dihybrid crosses, analysis of family tree were believed to be effective to enhance students' creativity and scientific thinking as well. We can develop some biology laboratory modules for enhancing students' creativity and scientific thinking with those topics in the future.
