The purpose of this study is to analyze biology teachers' systems thinking about ecosystem. To achieve this study purpose, an instrument related to ecosystem was developed and administered to sixteen biology teachers. The instrument is consisted of the investigation of biology teachers'understanding about ecosystem and their skills of systems thinking. Using the instrument, this study also investigated biology teachers' dynamic and feedback loop thinking skills. The results of this study were as follows; First, biology teachers used a lot of specific concepts such as producer,decomposer, solar energy. Also the teachers usually used concept connection related to material circulation of ecosystem. However, they mostly knew mono-way connection between concepts about ecosystem. They also have shown a low level of dynamic and feedback loop thinking skills in ecosystem. Actually, most of biological topics in secondary school are related to the systems thinking skills. Therefore, an effective biology learning and teaching in secondary school should be with an opportunity of training on systems thinking skills about biological system.
