This essay treats the theory of the Judgment of Existence, which is developed in Begriffslehre as subjective logic, the second part of the Hegelian Logic. In Hegel the judgments are divided into four kinds, i.e. the judgment of existence, the judgment of reflexion, the judgment of necessity, and the judgment of concept, as those of quantity, quality, relation, modality in Kant. the judgment of existence in Hegel corresponds to the judgment of quality in Kant. And the judgment of existence is divided into the positive (affimative) judgment, the negative judgment and the infinite judgment. In this essay the central contents of the judgment of existence are presented and their problems are revealed: the problems arising from the differentiation of the Judgment [Urteil] and Proposition [Satz], the misunderstanding of the function of copula, and the problem about Universality, Particularity, Individuality. In conclusion, it is stated that the judgment of existence needs not to be divided into he positive (affimative) judgment, the negative judgment and the infinite judgment, but it is enough with two kinds of the judgments: the positive (affimative) judgment and the negative judgment.
