This experimental study investigates teaching-learning improvement plans of Korean language, through analysis of current situation of education and the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) at the department of Korean language in China’s universities.
Assessing students’ proficiency with students’ results achieved in TOPIK needs to analyze many kinds of factors in Korean departments of Chinese colleges, which including education process, textbooks, teachers, teaching methods and Korean language speaking environment. Especially, it’s very important to judge the Korean language teaching and learning pattern playing on in current Chinese colleges since the accuracy reading classes take a large part in all subjects.
According to the result of evaluation and analysis, Korean language education process and textbooks in the sample college are constituted of grammar translation form and repeating form teaching method. Students’average grades of the whole class are high in the field of words and grammar but low in listening and reading.
Based on the result of proficiency test, the author analyzed structural factors and curriculum Teaching-Learning Model and suggested improvement plans of education of Korean Language at China national universities.
