The tradition about the Fuji(福慈) mountain and Mt. Tsukuba is in “Hitachi-Hudoki”. Mt. Tsukuba which Mt. Fuji which refused the visit of ancestral God was cursed, and was welcomed is the contents of having prospered. Considering a viewpoint faithful to the parents, it seems that it is natural that the latter is blessed. However, it is a problem that of which ancestor God asks to a hotel was in the midst of the purificatory asceticism which must be protected for the farming religious service “Niiname”.
Until now, a warm reception of the caller of the night of “Niiname” essentially shows real intention of purificatory asceticism, and expresses the situation that faith was already emasculated. Or the thing that worth of Confucian morality to which I give priority over the taboo of ground worldly faith is shown. It is said that the mythological special feature of a tale is seen in that I have carried taboo destruction etc. In my opinion, a possibility which disregarded the essence of agricultural rites that the interpretation of the editor of “Hitachi-Hudoki” is contained considering the end is considered that was high and recombination of a line would be performed for the purpose of the celebration to the mountain of Local town.
