Humanities therapy is a therapy which prevents and heals the mental and emotional problems of the individuals and the social problems by the humanities represented as literature, history, and philosophy. Therefore the wounds of heart, which are caused by the people in South Korea, of the North Korean defectors and the Korean residents in China as well as the unification issue which still suffers from the trauma of division can be cured through the therapy of Humanities, which can be regarded as the preparing process of the unification.
Through the unification, our nation is able to construct an ethnic community, where happy life is guaranteed mentally and physically, through the recovering damaged national identity and overcoming the pain from the division. When we prepare for the unification, the first thing that we must consider is that we need the healing and reconciliation for the victims who have suffered from the damages or emotional pain under the regime of the division.
Based on it, we are to develop the mutual cooperation, exchanges, and collaboration between the two Koreas on the principle of national self-esteem and mutual prosperity in coexistence.
