Report Errors
When it comes to reunification, it is very important to break down the wall of difficulties related to communication through narrowing the language differences between North Korea and South Korea. Honestly, North Korean was a little dealt with throughout the whole course of Korean language education so far, the contents is not sufficient and, what is more, the way of teaching is not systematic.
This study specifically focuses on the education of North Korean vocabulary. It begins with critically reviewing textbooks and the curriculum to see how they have been being dealt with so far and then I try to find a proper goal, a sufficient contents and an adequate method.
This study indicates that the problem of existing education of North Korean vocabulary is that it does not show the types of the North Korean vocabulary, the criteria of vocabulary selection is not clear and the chosen vocabulary is just limited to the word level.
On the basis of this analysis, I set up a goal of the North Korean vocabulary education as the growth of the understanding ability about North Korean vocabulary and a education contents as the reason and the truth of North and South Korean vocabulary difference and the method of how to overcome the difference.
Finally, I present a text analyzing activity and design a step-bystep activity plan as one of the methods of North Korean vocabulary education.
