In this study, I focussed on the conflict between goodness and badness in Korean old(17th) novel, especially Sassinamjeonggi(謝氏南征記). This work, Sassinamjeonggi is estimated to represent social goodness and badness fictionally in 17th Chosun Dynasty.
The kernel of reading Sassinamjeonggi is focusing on narrative struction of this work, which is made by the conflict between goodness and badness; the symbol of goodness is Sajeongok, the symbol of badness is Gyochaeran. And by comparative reading with other simillar work, the conflict between goodness(Sajeongok) and badness (Gyochaeran) in Sassinamjeonggi is understood and accepted to learners (readres) well.
The important thing is elevating learner's critical reading ability about the value in works. To accomplish this purpose, Leaners have to read many works and through this the meta-recognition of literature can be raised.
