The purpose of the research is to empirically examine the performance of distribution information system. To do so, related literature are reviewed, relevant hypotheses are proposed, a comprehensive model is developed to test those hypotheses, and collected data are analyzed.
The results of this study are summarized as follows: in the first stage, the performances of the distribution information system such as operational effectiveness and trade satisfaction are affected by corporation's characteristics and motivation, and by the basic information technology level. In the second, as we analyze the factors affecting distribution performance, operational effectiveness is affect by organizational participation, external sources and original functions. In the third, trade satisfaction is affect by external sources and connecting functions. However, the influence from centralization of the organization have a negative effect on the trade satisfaction.
