(Purpose) The purpose of this study is to examine the policy proposal platforms of local government in Korea and to analyze which policies are mainly proposed and agreed upon. (Design/methodology/approach) This study looked at the operation methods of regional policy proposal platforms and analyzed the contents of the proposed policies. In particular, this study compared and analyzed the characteristics of the proposed policies by region based on the classification according to the social problem to be solved. In addition, after categorizing the policies proposed on the local government's policy proposal platform according to the number of proposals and the degree of sympathy, content analysis is conducted based on this. (Findings) The policy proposal platforms operated by local governments have clear differences in name, proposal method, and operating period. In addition, the contents of the proposed policy suggest a direction as to what kind of innovation plan to prepare for policy management in each local government in the future as the main social problems occurred in the region and the policy alternatives to solve them differently. (Research implications or Originality) This study suggests that it is necessary to propose customized policies that meet the policy needs, active administration to resolve local issues based on the data of actual residents through the analysis of the policy proposal platform. In addition, it is expected that the connection between policy blind spots and public service provision will be possible through the policy typification presented in this study.
