The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of the National Competency Standards (NCS) recruitment system on the corporation’s performances of human resource management (voluntary turnover rate, new employment rate). Using Workplace Panel Survey data(2015, 2017), difference in difference and propensity score matching methods were applied to 1,382 companies that did not operate the NCS recruitment system in 2015, excluding missing data. The main research results were as follows. First, the NCS recruitment system is gradually expanding. Second, the NCS recruitment system was found to significantly reduce the voluntary turnover rate of corporations. Third, in the analysis using propensity score matching in relation to the corporation’s new employment rate, the NCS recruitment did not have a significant effect on the decrease in the new employment rate. The suggestions based on the research results are as follows. First, it is necessary to promote the use of NCS by corporations, including the NCS recruitment system. Second, it is necessary to utilize various NCS performance indicators, and it is necessary to conduct longitudinal studies and comprehensive studies including personal characteristics and cognitive variables.
