The purpose of this study was to analyze some theses and articles on the movement education published and reported in several journals for either children or movement in order to examine research trends and to find out developmental vision for this academic area. Content analysis was conducted according to number of published thesis and articles, representative research themes based on the periods of National curriculum for early childhood education from 1979 through 2019. As a result, it was found that 328 thesis and articles were published during the past five decades ever since the very first National curriculum for preschoolers in 1969. After the fourth amendment of National curriculum for early childhood education in 2013 and throughout 2019 was the peak era in terms of the number, 61 theses and 63 articles were published, respectively. And master’s theses was the representative type of pubilished materials against doctoral dissertation and research articles. Regarding the research theme, child development was the prevailing theme compared to teaching and learning method or teaching practicum and teaching model.
