The purpose of this study was to devise a movement curriculum by using cooperative learning and to examine its effects on the change of the movement teaching efficacy of preservice early childhood teachers. The subjects in this study were 25 selected students who took a course in movement education in a college located in an urban community in Gangwon Province. They received education through cooperative learning during a 15-week period of time according to the movement curriculum that was designed in this study. The instrument used in this study was prepared by modifying Yeo Eun-jin and Lee Kyung-ok(2004)"s Movement Teaching Efficacy Test to serve the purpose of the study. The collected data were analyzed by dependent-samples t-test. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the movement course that was designed for the sake of preservice early childhood teachers based on cooperative learning had a significant effect on movement teaching efficacy. Second, the movement course had a significant effect on their expectancy efficacy about the results of movement education. Third, the movement course had a significant effect on personal movement teaching efficacy. In conclusions, movement education through cooperative learning on movement effect that positive in movement teaching efficacy.
