As a main exporter of goods on the ancient "Silk Road", Jiangxi has attracted many foreign tourists in recent years due to its unique natural landscape and long-standing intangible cultural heritage. In 2018, among foreign tourists, the total number of Korean tourists entering Jiangxi province ranked first. Among many natural landscapes in Jiangxi province, Mingyue Mountain Attraction in Yichun city has attracted many Korean tourists in recent years due to its beautiful scenery and unique humanistic culture. Therefore, most of the public signs and its introduction of Mingyue Mountain Attraction has been translated into Korean correspondingly. Undeniably, this measure can provide great convenience for Korean tourists during their sightseeing Mingyue Mountain Attraction. But through actual visits and surveys, it is found that there are many improper translations of Korean public signs of Mingyue Mountain Attraction. Those mistranslations include vocabulary errors, grammatical errors, expression errors and other errors, which are attributed to many different factors. These improper translations may cause great inconvenience to Korean tourists and have negative effect on Korean tourists’ views about Mingyue Mountain Attraction.
