This study was conducted from July to August 2018 on 170 Korean and 125 Chinese infants with a view to comparing their physique and physical strength and performance of basic exercise skills. To achieve this research objective, physical strength (heightening, weight), physical strength (position, left-hand tunnel, 20 m wide throw, double-footed continuous jump), achievement rate of basic motor skills (one jump, double jump, 80 cm jump, out-step, ball, dodge, precise throw, and throw balls) was obtained. The physical strength was measured twice for each item and excellent records were used, and the performance rate of basic motor skills was assessed to be ‘possible=2, I don’t know=1, impossible=0’ depending on the performance. The data analysis method conducted an independent sample t-test for comparing the physique and physical strength of a 6-year-old infant in Korea and China. Cross-analysis was conducted to calculate the frequency and percentage of achievement in basic motor skills, and χ² was conducted to test the differences between groups. All of these analyses used the SPSS 22.0 statistical program and set the significance level at .05. Studies show that Chinese infants are large in physique and Korean infants are heavy in weight. In terms of physical strength, the level of agility, flexibility and low-level coordination were found to be high among Korean infants, while the level of agility was high among Chinese infants. However, there is no difference between Korean and Chinese infants. In terms of achievement of basic athletic skills, Korean infants are found to have high levels of double-footed, single-jump and empty-handed, while Chinese toddlers are found to have high levels of volleyball and exact ball throwing. However, there is no difference between Korean and Chinese infants.
