This article is on taking a look at the implication of the name in Gut-Chum as the model of the Mudang-Gut-Chum (Shaman-Exorcism-Dance). The Mudang-Gut-Chum has certain deviation for each region, for each individual and for each pedigree that it is not easy to formulate the model of Gut in specific regions. A mudang (shaman) expresses the implication with bodily motion with the rhythm. And, the implication is presupposed with the communication of deity and human. The Mudang-Gut-Chum is essentially connected with the rhythm, and the bodily gesture there of is defined accordingly. However, definition of the bodily gesture is extremely variable that the category of its acceptance has been expanding. Any restriction of dance direction and number of motions existed in the part would disappear, and it is acknowledged if the simple motion is conforming. The performance of shaman that mediates deity and human would recognize the dance existing with the expression of deity due to shortening of the performance time of the gut (exorcism), but the dance to mediate deity and human is gradually disappeared. Therefore, the most important thing is the name of the Mudang-Gut-Chum. The model of the Mudang-Gut-Chum is closely related to the performance trend of Mudang-Gut. Any Mudang-Gut-Chum not granted with implication has been disappeared now that it cannot be classified as the model of the Mudang-Gut-Chum. The Mudang-Gut-Chum is based on the impromptu mediation and fixed succession of individual and it exists as the Gut-Chum as the ritual ceremony and Gut-Chum as play. From the foregoing, the one that can be classified as the model would be the ritual ceremony not so easily mediate on the basis of the Gut-Chum and fixed succession. Under such perception, the tendency of Gut-Chum of Seoul-Gut, Hwanghaedo-Gut, Gyeonggido-Danggut, Honam-Gut, South Coast Byeolsin-Gut, and East Coast Byeolsin-Gut is taken a look, and then a few models of the Mudang-Gut-Chums for each region are presented. Establishment of such Gut-Chum model is presented as a necessary in order to maintain consistency of the policies on intangible cultural heritage and enhance the unique value Mudang-Gut.

이 글은 무당굿춤의 전형으로 굿춤 명칭의 의미를 살핀 글이다. 무당굿춤은 지역별, 개인별, 계보별로 편차가 있어 특정 지역 굿의 전형을 도출하기는 쉽지 않다. 무당은 장단에 맞춰 몸짓으로 의미를 표현한다. 그리고 그 의미는 신령과 인간의 소통을 전제로 하는 것이다. 무당굿춤은 장단과 필수적으로 연계되며 그에 따른 몸짓이 규정되어 있다. 하지만 그 몸짓의 규정은 대단히 가변적이어서 용인의 범주가 점점 커지고 있다. 과거에 존재하던 춤의 방향, 동작의 숫자 제한은 사라지게 되고 이제는 단순하게 동작만 부합하면 인정하는 것이다. 신령과 인간을 매개하던 무당의 연행은 굿 연행 시간의 단축으로 인해 신령의 표현으로 존재하는 춤은 인정되지만 신령과 인간을 매개하는 춤은 점차 사라지고 있다. 이에 따라 가장 중요한 것은 무당굿춤의 명칭이다. 무당굿춤의 전형은 무당굿의 연행 양상과 긴밀하게 연결되어 있다. 의미를 부여하지 않는 무당굿춤은 현재 굿 연행에서 사라지고 있어 이는 무당굿춤의 전형이라 할 수 없다. 무당굿춤은 개인의 즉흥적인 변개와 고정된 전승을 바탕으로 하고 있으며, 제의로서의 굿춤과 놀이로서의 굿춤으로 존재한다. 이중 전형이라 할 수 있는 것은 변개가 쉽지 않은 제의로서의 굿춤과 고정된 전승을 바탕으로 하는 것이다. 이러한 인식 아래에 서울굿, 항해도굿, 경기도당굿, 호남굿, 남해안별신굿, 동해안별신굿의 굿춤 양상을 살핀 후 각 지역별로 무당굿춤의 전형 몇 가지를 제시했다. 이러한 굿춤 전형의 확립은 무형문화재 정책의 일관성을 유지하고, 고유한 무당굿의 가치를 제고하기 위해서라도 곡 필요한 일임을 제시했다.
