Young people need new skills to succeed in the information society, and many countries have been interested in what skills and attributes are required and how they can help and support students in acquiring these skills. In this research, the life learning skills of gifted high school science students and normal high school students were analysed and compared. Through this research, ideas contributing to quality education for gifted students is expected to find out. Ninety -six gifted science students and 136 normal students responded to the survey. Cronbach's alpha of the survey tool, which was composed according to the framework of the three key life learning skills, was 0.963 The results show that gifted science students are more competent than normal students in terms of all three key life learning skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills, self-directed learning skills (p<.05). Their problem-solving skills and self-directed learning skills were particularly advanced. Gifted science students have greater competency in fulfilling their role, setting communication goals, and taking the leading role in the communication situation. In terms of problem- solving skills, the skills of identifying the problem, devising alternatives, planning and performing are all higher than general students. Finally, gifted science students do well in all parts of self- regulated learning such as planning, performing, and evaluating their leaning.
