The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of the work environment of high-end hotel cooks on job stress and intention to leave a career and to suggest effective management strategy for the work environment, job stress and intention to leave a career of cooking staff. The scope of this study is based on the theoretical review of the previous study, and the analysis of statistical data after the questionnaire conducted from the cooks in the Incheon luxury hotel. A total of 310 copies of the questionnaires were distributed from September 1, 2017 to September 15, 2017, and 299 copies were retrieved. Of these, 290 copies were used as the final analysis, excluding not enough, missing, and inadequate responses. The collected questionnaires were processed with statistical package SPSS 18.0 and Amos 20.0 through data coding process. As a method of analysis, frequency analysis was conducted to obtain the accuracy of the data and the general characteristics of the sample using collected questionnaires. Cronbach's a value was calculated to confirm the validity of the items and to measure the reliability. Finally, the structural equation model was used for hypothesis testing. The purpose of this study is to recognize the importance of improving the working environment for hotel companies and to suggest ways to minimize job stress and career leave intention of cook workers.
