Validity in qualitative research have been developed in the social sciences over the last 20 decades and are rooted in may different research traditions. This purpose of this study is to analyze the nature of validity in qualitative research in order to enhance the quality of qualitative research in leisure studies in Korea. Validity has been long been a key issue in debates over the legitimacy of qualitative research. Early qualitative researchers recognized the difference between qualitative and quantitative research and tried its own concept of trustworthiness. Qualitative researchers seek to understand and interpret the others from their own viewpoints which basically tend to be subjective. and qualitative researcher`s understanding and interpretations are met with readers` subjectivity and after all a new world is created. In this sense, the concept of trustworthiness is reconstructed between researcher and readers.
