This study is to suggest various approaches toward leisure recreation studies in terms of research methodology. What we consider various perspectives for methods in the realm of leisure recreation plays a great role in the academic development. Especially, consideration of qualitative approach into leisure recreation studies makes us to accomplish the deep understanding of human behavior in modern society. By using qualitative research method, we can made an ideal research situation confronted with problematic matters from quantitative research methodology. Among many characteristics of qualitative research method some issues of interpretive procedure, concern based on process and inductive analysis were discussed in this study. Some suggestions explored on theoretical underpinnings, data collection, data analysis and validity issues in which research apply in the direst research field. When these theoretical and practical perspectives adequately apply in the realm of leisure recreation studies, the research system night support. an intensive understanding for leisure experience, meaning, identification of culture and the relationship between leisure and work. It is natural that the insightful perspective for research methodology accomplish the good suggestion by research involvement. Qualitative research ire leisure recreation studies will contribute to produce that kind of perspective which relates to the academic development.
