This study was analyzed how motivation of major choice affects on career choice on according to 2years and 4years college students. Then, the paper suggest guidelines that can help their career direction and attract new students. They are current students who are studying tourism management and hotel management in 2years & 4years college of Je-cheon of Chung-Buk Province. 200 questionnaires were distributed, then 197 were collect with utilized in the analysis
The results are showed up as follows; First, In the importance of major choice and career choice, it was showed as external component of interest, and aptitude in case of 4years college view point. But the 2years academic view point, it appeared to be long-term vision of major, and excellent working environment.
Second, motivation of major choice accounts for 2 factors which are extrinsic motivation and intrinsic motivation. And also, career choice divided into occupational sense of social and occupational sense of individual.
Third, extrinsic motivation had effect on social career sense, intrinsic motivation had significant on individual career sense in case of 4years college. And also, both extrinsic and intrinsic motivation had significant highly on social and individual career sense in case of 2years college. Fourth, motivation of major choice had significant highly on major satisfaction both 4years and 2years college.
