In 2013, the Human Resources Development Service of Kore(HRD Korea) developed the job of banquet management in tourism and leisure field at the level of National Competency Standards(NCS). Its contents cover such categories as duty, task, performance criteria, knowledge, skill, attitude, applicable range, work environment, evaluation, level of learner and basic competency for a job. The purpose of study was to examine the feasibility on all contents of banquet management developed in 2013.
To do it, the 100 data were collected from both the specialists working in a hotel industry and those in educational institutions. The results said that there was a gap between two samples and the specialists working in a hotel industry were relatively negative to the other. Especially, a unit was the lowest, 2.4 of all measuring factors from the data.
The study concludes that feasibility on contents developed in banquet management is very important because it is time for quality management in national competency standards(NCS). Furthermore, the educational contents are a decisive factor for learners.
