The purpose of this study is to present plans for improving cultural physical education in women`s university through research carried out at women`s universities, which takes in and analyzes the present condition of cultural physical education, and also the recognition and satisfaction rate of lectures of women students on cultural physical education. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the subject of study were 373 women students attending 4 women`s universities in Seoul, who have taken cultural physical education classes, and the questionnaire based on the previous studies was used as an investigation means. Before using the questionnaire, there were examinations of the contents for suitability and capacity to apply, and verifications of the degree of validness of contents and degree of reliance. As another method of research, the self-administered questionnaire was used after explaining the purpose to the subjects of the study. The collected data were analyzed by techniques of frequency analysis, Chi-square test, one-way ANOVA, and statistics analysis of Scheffe`s test, according to object of research. The following is the conclusion that is based on the above-mentioned investigation means and results of analyses. First, in the analysis of the difference in the participation and frequency of exercise according to university, major, and school year, there were significant differences in university. Also in the time of exercise, there were significant differences in university and school year, in the period of exercise, there were significant differences in major and school year, in the reasons for taking cultural physical education class, there were significant differences in university and school year, and in the ideal time of cultural physical education class, there were significant differences in university. Second, in the analysis of the difference in the degree of satisfaction of factors of cultural physical education according to university, major, and school year, there were significant differences in cultural physical education teachers and overall satisfaction according to university.
