Architecture program in university has been changed according to society and education theory. This study investigate the cases of curriculum changes in USYD and UTS architecture undergraduate program, searching for characteristic improvement matters like a view of design education, teaching and learning strategy, curriculum structure and its performances. New program in USYD 2001 focused on the situated, knowledge-based design, the reorganized subject strand, and the integrated design applied with knowledge. New program in UTS 1996 focused on the two tier system with BArt and BArch, the cooperative education between university and industry, and the reorganized and integrated design teaching. Recent changes in UTS 2004 focused on the 3year program from 4year for a undergraduate, and the practice-based learning for enhancing student-directed experience. These changes of programs are concluded by upgrading the quality of program, teaching and learning, generic skill, and facility and supporting service for students satisfaction increase. And also to explore the direction of program transition, it is reported at regular interval for self appraisal, student experience survey and academic board review.
