Purpose: This research was conducted to investigate whether the regional differences are reflected in the acceptance of IIT(Intelligent Information Technology), the next generation of competitiveness for technology companies, and to explore differentiated alternatives as balanced regional development is regarded ad the key to Korea’s sustainable development. Research Design, Data and Methodology: To analyze the factors affecting the intention of technology-based companies to adopt IIT, CB-SEM approach is used and the characteristics of IIT behavioral intention to the UTAUT model is considered and, the relationship between use behavior by constructing a dual mediation model is demonstrated. Accordingly, 316 samples in the technology-based industry were dichotomized into capital region and non-capital regions. As a preliminary analysis, the convergent validity, reliability, discriminant validity, and multicollinearity of the measures has been checked, and for the main analysis, path analysis, bootstrapping, and IPA is conducted. Results: Effort Expectancy have a positive effect on Use Behavior and Facilitating Conditions, but not on Behavioral Intention. Furthermore, Facilitating Conditions did not have a positive effect on Use Behavior, but had a statistically significant effect on Behavioral Intention. Behavioral Intention had a positive effect on Use Behavior, suggesting a dual mediation between Facilitating Conditions and Behavioral Intention in the effect of Effort Expectancy on Use Behavior, but not directly through Facilitating Conditions to Use Behavior. Implications: Overall, Effort Expectancy was found to be a key factor in the adoption of IIT, but it did not have a direct and statistically significant effect on Use Behavior in the case of capital region. In contrast, in non-capital regions, the explanatory power of the dual mediation effect model is particularly strong, with the dual mediation effect increasing along the path. In other words, in order to increase the acceptance of IIT among non-capital technology-based companies, it is necessary to provide various facilitating conditions at the company and government levels.
