This study explored how the satisfaction of rural tourism education effects participant`s behavioral intention and social capital. For this, a questionnaire survey was conducted and collected 182 data from participants in rural tourism education programs. A structural equation model was employed to exam the hypothesized relationships among variables.
The results show that the satisfaction of rural tourism education effects participant`s behavioral intention and social capital positively. In order to bust behavioral intention, the education program should be operated along with participant`s satisfaction of facilities and support from instructors and administrations. Finding also implicates that the positive behavioral intention for the educational program leads to improve social capital which is required for community based development in rural area. This study contributes to the existing effects of rural tourism education on social capital by exploring relationships among social capital, educational satisfaction, and behavioral intention.
