The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the ecological transformation education program on middle school students' environmental sensitivity and environmentally friendly attitudes and their perception of the program. The experimental group of this study consists of 45 third-year students from G Middle School, and the comparison group consists of 51 students from a nearby school with similar achievement levels to the experimental group. To find out the effect of applying the ecological transformation education program, a questionnaire on environmental sensitivity and environmentally friendly attitude was administered to the experimental and comparison groups. The effect was investigated through an independent sample t-test using SPSS version 29. The experimental group was additionally asked about their awareness of the ecological transformation education program. The results of this study are as follows. First, the results of analyzing the effects of ecological transformation education on environmental sensitivity showed that the experimental group had higher scores than the comparison group, but there was no significant difference. Second, the results of analyzing the impact of ecological transformation education on environmentally friendly attitudes showed that there were significant differences in the cognitive and behavioral domains, but no significant differences in the affective domain. Third, students' satisfaction with the ecological transformation education implemented at school was high. In particular, the programs that they enjoyed participating in were Carrot Market, the environmental quiz competition, and using tumblers, while the programs that students found difficult to participate in were vegetarian meals, watching videos related to the environment, maintaining the appropriate room temperature, and strict waste separation.
