This study investigates the impact of 1:1 tutoring, a non-curricular program linked to a curricular English course, on college students’ English achievements and their satisfaction. To achieve the goal of this study, a total of 79 students participated in 1:1 tutoring program. The students need to register in advance to take the non-curricular program. To examine the effects of the program, students in each group were required to take a pre-test and a post-test. Finally, they were asked to complete a survey conducted at the end of the semester. The results showed a significant improvement in the group that received 1:1 tutoring. In addition, students’ satisfaction with the program was higher compared to that of those who did not participate. This study is significant in that the results can be used as a fundamental reference when designing and enhancing non-curricular programs in higher education.
