This study sought to determine the effects of expertise shown by a professor and consequent participation on class satisfaction in online classes, and to investigate the mediational effects of online physical education classes in the relationship between teaching expertise and class satisfaction. Thus, this study aimed to find out how professor expertise affects class satisfaction and continual class participation in online physical education classes, where Edutech has been in the spotlight while conducting long-term online classes during COVID. To obtain the results above, this study surveyed a total of 320 students taking online physical education classes between March 24 and April 8 in 2024. The research results are as follows. First, the expert knowledge of professors had a positive effect on class satisfaction. Second, the expert knowledge of professors had a positive effect on class satisfaction. Third, class satisfaction was found to mediate the results of a professor’s expertise and continuous class participation. Lastly, online physical education classes were found to have a moderating effect on professors’ expertise and class satisfaction. Therefore, the results of this research state, that despite the many advantages of online physical education classes due to environmental limitations blended classes, which are a mixture of face-to-face and remote classes, have a greater positive impact on students" satisfaction and intention to continuously commit to class participation. The study implicates the need to further improve the method of conducting online classes in university physical education classes in the future.
