This study evaluated and analyzed the results of class satisfaction after designing and applying PBL classes in the "Mystery of Aroma" subject to which the problem-focused learning method was applied among university liberal arts subjects. And, by analyzing the reflection diary written by the students, it was evaluated whether the educational goal was well achieved. Recently, the advantage of the problem-solving learning method centered on team learning is emerging rather than the existing one-sided knowledge transfer oriented teaching method. We intend to provide basic data for teaching and learning methods that can be developed later. To this end, a PBL class model was designed, and the average value of PBL class satisfaction was analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program for 120 students of the "Mystery of Aroma" course in 2021~2022, and the result was 4.0 or higher (M>4.0). Through the analysis of the reflection log, the operation of PBL classes was examined. Accordingly, the results of this study can be used as effective operational data for lesson design methods that can enhance problem-solving skills, which are the core competencies required by the future society, and can be used as a reference for presenting basic data on class model design and teaching methods for the development of liberal arts courses in cosmetology in the future, and contributing to the expansion of liberal arts courses in Universities.
