This research was implemented on hairstylists with the purpose to find out the correlations between contact dermatitis (neutralizing chemical poisoning) and their workload or allergic tendencies, one of the occupational skin diseases caused by beauty art vocations. At the same time, this research aims at providing prevention from the neutralizing chemical poisoning while showing the data for management solutions. With the use of SPSSWIN 18.0 for the statistical analysis the research proceeded in p<.05. Research results, 1. As a result of analyzing the causes of occurrence of neutralizing chemical poison, the statistical significance was shown according to the positions and shampooing jobs. 2. The regions of the occurrence of neutralizing chemical poisoning were at the backs of the hands and wrists. The order of occurrences and their symptoms were itching, cracking, and rashes. 3. Allergies are closely correlated to Junghwa-dok (neutralizing chemical poisoning), showing statistical significance. 4. Experiencing and witnessing the neutralizing chemical poisoning of coworkers did not turn out to be a deterrent for changing careers. To sum up the survey results, the occupational positions and shampooing jobs seemed to be intimate factors to neutralizing chemical poisoning, considered that their hands were directly exposed to water and detergents. Therefore, once occupational safety and health education related to the use of protective devices is established to prevent occupational skin diseases, it is considered to be meaningful in the aspect of protection and prevention from neutralizing chemical poisoning, a sort of contact dermatitis.
