Artificial Intelligence is a significant digital technology that will continue to be with humankind in the future. Here come the fundamental questions: How should we deal with such systems? What should we consider from the stage of designing the system? What risks are potential, and how can we control them? The basis of such a question is to understand where the discussions on Artificial Intelligence Ethics are heading to. In such a context, this study aims to provide international research trends and characteristics of artificial intelligence ethics through keyword analysis. The research results are as follows: First of all, studies related to computer science, law, and philosophy are actively conducted in academic papers in an interdisciplinary field, engineering and social science. Second, looking at the author's keyword analysis, discussions on 'AI Governance Regime', 'AI-based Decision', 'Law and Ethics' and 'Ethical Education' are steadily taking place. Last but not least, research mainly related to 'value and principles' has been conducted at the early stages of artificial intelligence ethics, whereas technical research such as 'ethical algorithm' is gradually increasing. With that being said, this study will examine the research direction of artificial intelligence ethics in the future and put significance on its role as a stepping stone that presents the criteria.
