Since the discovery of the fragmenatary manuscript of Hye Ch’o’s Memoir of a Pilgrimage to the Five Regions of India, by P. Pelliot at Tun-huang in 1908, various attempts have been made to study Hye Ch’o’s life and works. At present, the text of Hye Ch’o is available only in a fragmentary form. According to Jung(2004/2010: 44), Hyecho's text is a manuscript of a scroll. Also, there are no book titles and author names. It consists of a total of 227 lines, one line consists of 17-36 letters and the one chapter 26-28 lines. Therefore, the entire text of the book is estimated as 6379 words. Up to now, there have been efforts to reconstruct individual letters and vocabularies in the study. However, there was little overall restoration effort on the missing part of the text. The purpose of this study is to explore the reconstruction of the missing part of Hyecho text based on the thema-rhema-structure of the Prague school, which is a text analysis of text linguistics.
