This study aims to investigate current research trends in integrative English education at the elementary and middle school and university levels in Korea, focused on content- and language-driven instruction. For this purpose, studies published from 2000 to October 2018 were searched for through Research Information Sharing Service of Korea and a total of 69 studies were selected. From the studies, data were collected on the number of studies published per year, research methods, content- and language-driven instructions, and integrative models of instruction. After that, the collected data were analysed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results indicate that integrative English education in Korea is more interested in language-driven instructions than in content-driven instructions on the basis of the objective of the English education, language as a medium of instruction, and the subjects of evaluation. The analysis implies that a solid foundation needs to be established in order to develop curriculum design of integrative English education systematically. Recommendation was also made for future research.
