The idea that sick people can recuperate their health from receiving blood from healthy people has been around for a long time. However, it was only in the 1900s that humans discovered the existence of blood types and entered the era of full-scale blood transfusions. And it has saved countless human lives. In the end, blood transfusions are successfully incorporated into modern medicine as an important means of treatment, giving firm confidence. In conclusion, over the past century, the idea that blood transfusions save human life has been strengthened. It was in the 1980s that people began to doubt the belief that blood transfusion treatment was the hope of mankind, and in the 2000s, verification of the effectiveness of transfusion therapy began to take full swing. Based on the results of numerous studies, the WHO finally declared in 2010 that excessive blood transfusions should be avoided. And as part of this declaration, WHO recommended PBM.
