Purpose
As complications of transfusion, poor prognosis of transfused patients and the lack of blood products are widely known, interest in transfusion-free surgery is increasing recently. Despite advances in perioperative management and surgical techniques, pancreatectomy is one of the surgical procedures that still require blood transfusions in many cases. We tried to analyze the clinical outcomes of transfusion-free pancreatectomy based on the experience of transfusion-free pancreatectomy in Jehovah’s Witness patients.

Method
We retrospectively analyzed a total of 29 patients who underwent transfusion-free pancreatectomy from January 2007 to December 2020. All patients voluntarily refused blood transfusion for religious reasons, and they were treated in perioperative period according to patient blood management (PBM) system of our institution.
